Governance

Founded in 1968, the Société du Port de Valleyfield (SPV) is mandated to oversee the management, promotion and development of port activities in the City of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. The SPV is municipally owned and supervised by an independent Board of Directors made up of three community representatives and two elected municipal officials. The Mayor and the City Manager also represent the City at Board meetings as observers.
